Dr Jane Kennedy

Dr. Jane Kennedy has been a senior research manager in the national studies team at the Audit Commission since September 2007. She leads the national study Policing: More for Less run jointly by the Audit Commission, Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC) and the Wales Audit Office (WAO).
Previously, she
led the national study ‘Working better together? Managing local strategic
partnerships’.
She has managed research for the Countryside Agency into LSPs in multi-tier areas and for LGIB on the England Rural Development Programme. She led rural policy at LGA developing urban/ rural compacts and provided rural policy advice to the social exclusion policy action teams.
Jane worked in local government developing policy and leading business planning. She also led strategic partnership working including LSP restructuring and international partnership development.
Jane has a PhD in local government performance focusing on top team leadership and organisational culture to achieve corporate excellence. And is a member of the International Research Society in Public Management.
